Volunteer Committee Descriptions

Access Control – Mark Ross committee chair
Responsible for checking credentials and monitoring access into various course locations including clubhouse and hospitality venues; work closely with hospitality committee.
Admissions – Tom & Kathy Morefield committee co-chairs
Sell and scan tickets at the main entrance and manage the Will Call process. Be ambassadors for the event as a welcoming team for spectators. Greet and help direct spectators in various locations on and off the course, answer any questions guests may have and provide directions.
Caddies – Joe Houlehan committee chair
Help manage the caddie area to ensure caddies have all that they need. Responsibilities include managing caddy bib inventory/name backs, restocking area with snacks/beverages/meals and helping with any needs that may arise for caddies.
Hospitality – Deb Taubin & Caryll Schultz committee co-chairs
Responsible for planning and preparation of all hospitality venues. Host corporate sponsors in hospitality areas, meeting and greeting guests, checking to see if they need anything, provide tournament information, etc.
Marshals – Mike Lang committee chair
Responsible for crowd management, gallery noise control, cross walks, spotting golf balls and player movement.
Practice Facility – Hank Simpson & Jim Hughes committee co-chairs
Set-up and maintain the practice facility for the players by stocking and distributing practice range balls, drinks, snacks, etc. Provide gallery control of the practice areas and regulate access for the contestants and officials.
Pro-Am – Steve Schoeman & Mike Flanagan committee co-chairs
Responsible for planning and coordinating the Official Pro-Am, as well as the pairings party. Duties include bag drop, player registration, concept shop, awards, pictures, etc.
Product Distribution – Brian Larson committee chair
Ensure that all areas on the golf course (tees, hospitality, inside-the-ropes, volunteer HQ, special events, coolers, etc.) are properly equipped with ice, beverages and snacks. This committee requires the ability to consistently lift items (>40 lbs.) throughout the entire day.
Standard Bearers – Aaron Stock & Perry Egerton committee co-chairs
Display scores with a mobile carry board for groups and spectators to see. Volunteers should be prepared and capable of walking 18 holes, this position requires being in good shape and having the physical stamina for a long day spent on your feet.
Volunteer HQ – Donna Woolard committee chair
Responsible for the overall operation of volunteer headquarters. Responsibilities include volunteer check-in, uniform management, answering volunteer questions and restocking snacks and beverages. Manage the distribution and return of radios daily. Assist volunteers during tournament week and create an overall excellent volunteer experience.
Walking Scorers – Aaron Stock & Perry Egerton committee co-chairs
Walk 18 holes inside the ropes with professional golfers. Volunteers will carry a handheld smart device with PGA TOUR Scoring software and input stroke, scoring and statistical information. Scorers will also have a constant voice communication with PGA TOUR Staff. Volunteers must have knowledge of golf. Training is mandatory.
On Course Services – Jonathan Behee committee chair
Responsible for maintaining a clean environment on course and within all venues along with restocking tee box ice and water. Committee might also include working with golf course employees to control and distribute golf cart inventory to authorized personnel.
Parking & Transportation – Mark Ross committee chair
Assist with parking lots, shuttles and traffic flow.
